Focus working on yourself more than you do on your job.

The following is an excerpt from my first book collaboration, “Success is All B.S.” BS = Belief System

If you were to ask, “What are some things I can do to have a better life?”  I would tell you that the secret is to work harder on yourself than you do on anything else.

Our decisions and our choices alter our lives.  We as humans can decide where to go and what to do at any given moment.  If you decide you don’t like your job, you can change it.  If you’re unhappy in a relationship, you can change it.  If you want to start a business, you can.

With this said; I’d like to offer that these decisions may not be easy. That they may require working on yourself to make them happen. I remember wanting to do more at work, but I didn’t have the skills that I needed. What did I do? I went back to school. I took classes to earn a few Microsoft Certifications. Once completed I was equipped to do more and consequentially offered a different role at my company.
