Tony Robbins, what an iconic figure. A synonym to personal development. He is known for walking on fire and setting your life up for growth. I have known about him for years, and I knew he used to live near me in a castle above the Del Mar Race Track, but I had no idea how many people he was helping or the lives he was impacting.

I knew about Tony, but didn’t really until I got into personal development myself. It didn’t take long to run across the name Jim Rohn, and his relationship to Tony. From what I learned Jim Rohn was a mentor to Tony. I’ve been inspired by what Tony has done and what he has done for our planet, helping millions. How can you not be impressed by this? Someone once said, “you cannot serve the many by playing small.” This one quote, by M. Williamson, has impacted me more than any other words besides the Bible. It’s a quotation from the book, A Return to Love. (it is often misattributed to Nelson Mandela):

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
